How Does Boveda Work?
It’s all science. Mix certain salts with water and together they naturally regulate humidity. Boveda’s patented packaging allows the cleanest, most-purified water vapor to either be emitted or absorbed.
Boveda acts on the environment around it. By adding and absorbing moisture, Boveda keeps the contents of a sealed container at a precise relative humidity (RH) level. Cool, huh? The number printed on Boveda are the RH%. Whatever product you’re storing calls for specific RH levels.
Boveda is not the same as PG/VG solutions, beads or gels. Boveda is unlike any other product by utilising saturated salt solutions to provide the only true 2-way humidity control on the market. Boveda has a reverse-osmosis membrane to emit only purified water vapour.
INSTRUCTIONS
REPLACE: To ensure zero gap in your 2-way humidity control, replace your Boveda every 3 months. Order replacement packs BEFORE Boveda is rigid all the way through to avoid a lapse in humidity protection in your cannabis container.
Boveda is still working if you feel:
- Hardening at its corners
- Soft spots among some hard areas
Boveda is expired if:
- The entire pack feels rock solid all the way through.
HOW TO USE:
Boveda is safe to touch cannabis.
First, remove a Boveda pack from the resealable bag. Then simply place the pack in your cannabis container. Seal your container closed to ensure it's airtight. That's it!
As a general rule, use one Size 67 sachet per Mason Jar (or similar). Boveda will never over-humidify, no matter how many you use.
Do not cut or tear open the sachet. Do not eat. Do not mix Boveda RH levels within the same container, and do not use Boveda in the same container with other humidification products, They will counteract each other, and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.
LIFESPAN:
In an airtight container: 2 to 4 months (or less, depending on the moisture content of the flower, how frequently the container is opened, and the storage conditions). Unopened package: Up to 2 years.
ACCURACY:
In an airtight environment, all Boveda are accurate to +/-2% of the RH printed on the pack.
