Drug Checking for First Thursday, 4th August
Posted by Chris Fowlie on 3rd Aug 2022
The Hemp Store is hosting a pop-up Drug Checking Clinic for First Thursday on 4th August.
The clinic, provided by our friends at the NZ Drug Foundation, is free, legal and confidential, and runs 2:00 to 6:30 pm. They're also giving away FREE fentanyl test strips, and can show you how to use them!
There is also a protection built into the law forbidding police from using results or attendance to prosecute or search anyone. So don't worry about them.
With dodgy stuff like Fentanyl circulating in illicit drugs, it's really important to know what you are taking.
The clinic can test not only powders, pills and mystery crystals, but also your weed, edibles, balms, green fairy tinctures, and legally prescribed medicinal cannabis products.
The clinic uses our Dancesafe reagents as the first step, then the FTIR spectrometer, then samples are also send off for a full lab analysis.
The amount needed is like a pin head. Basically, if you can see it, a test can be performed. So not much is needed. You can also pick up a free Fentanyl test strip.
Don't just guess or presume "she'll be right", now you can know what you are taking, and with accurate information about the strength you can work out your correct dosage.
Aotearoa New Zealand is one of the few countries in the world to allow legal substance checking.
Like with every First Thursday, The Hemp Store will be open late.
