Wild Gummy Recipe

Ingredients

  • 139g caster sugar
  • 40g gelatin powder
  • 90ml liquid — juice, water or cordial
  • Flavoured essence — optional
Tip: Add a pinch of potassium sorbate to increase shelf life. However, this recipe should remain shelf stable for quite some time.

Method

  1. Weigh and mix the dry ingredients, then tip them into the Wild Gummy machine.
  2. Pour in your liquid of choice and stir through the dry mix using the included spatula until all of the mix is wet.
  3. Mixing Stage: Tap the Start button on the machine. The lights on the machine will turn blue. The machine will heat first, then spin up and begin mixing. The machine will beep at around the 14-minute mark.
  4. Infusion Stage: Remove the lid, then add infusion oils and flavoured essence. A tested formula is 4–6 tablespoons of MCT oil.
    Double tap the Start button. The machine will turn red and infuse for 7 minutes. You can double tap Start again to repeat the infusion stage if further infusion is required.
  5. Decant the mixture into a sauce bottle and fill your moulds. Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes.
Tip: Toss finished gummies in caster sugar before storage to help prevent sticking.
